Describe your first job.

I had many babysitting jobs growing up but my first 'real' paycheck sytle job was the summer between 7th and 8th grades. I had surgery on my thyroid and upon recovery got a job as a car-hop waitress for a little burger joint called the burger mill. My best friend had a job there and got me in too.

I would have to ride my bike from the country into town about 4-5 miles I'd guess it was a 20 minute ride back then on 3 speed schewen blue bike. The car-hops only worked outside and during the summer and one girl on a night. I worked 3-4 nights a week all summer.

Sitting on a stool watching the high-schoolers cruise by in the cars, waiting for the next car to pull up and order. The burger mill served burgers of course with fries, hot dogs, coney dogs, and ice cream deserts. Shakes, malts, banana splits and cones.

I'd place the order up in the window sliding a side window from outside open. The waitress and cooks would prepare the food and place it in a bag or i'd carry it all out to the car. Lots of times people would sit there and eat. They'd hand me their money and I'd make change with dollars and a little clicker that kept the change. Tips were ok a quarter here and there and if lucky a whole dollar!!!

I worked there all summer and that fall was a backup waitress inside a few times my 8th grade. by 9th grade I was hired next door and waitressed at the A&W which my cousins grandma owned and they all worked as well as my auntie :) Mmmm broasted chicken wednesday nights, hot fudge sundaes and root beer floats! Ice cream slides and lock-ins in growdy green bells.

What lessons did you take as a child? Did any carry over into adulthood?

Lots of lessons have been taught along the way but actual lessons I signed up for and took I think mainly of the piano. I started in 2nd grade and was excited and enjoyed it. When i was a bit older say 5th & 6th grade I didn't really enjoy the practice times. Making myself or my mom making me sit and practice for 30 minutes everyday. But by 8th grade i really started to enjoy playing.

Thru the last years in school I played many concerts, accompanyed band members in their solos as well as the lead pianist in a musical and many many chours songs.

As a young adult I played at a super club and for church events, christian woman's meetings monthly, sunday school, weddings and my grandfathers funeral.

Now I enjoy relaxing time to sit and play for my family and even friends. I want to share this talent with my children and hope that they too want to learn and enjoy the musical side of them.

Started my Law & Ethics class today :-) Guys are here putting in new furnace, and my honey wanted me to webcam them again. So I snuck upstairs plugged it in and played abit with that. Yah... hard for me to yah i'm a shy one yet yeah lol. I love him so much. Wish I was more secure with myself, the last couple years I've been more lacking confidence, I can't figure out why, what in my life thats changed me but I wanna get that back.

He helps so much :-) Love ya Tobias :X Going on Wow now after laying talking to him last hour then gotta big week.

Major fight n feelings beyond my words atm of things and discussions that occured this saturday night with my love. I'm not sure how to feel react atm, but I hope to sort thru it in the next few days. At the surface it often appears to be gone away happily moved on yet I know often i repress these things and they burry deep hidden awaiting that moment to resurface.

I just logged on now to see him and still hasn't asked to voice to really talked to me :(( we'll see i guess I love my Tobias

A Daily MeMe

What do you collect? Why? How did you get started?

I don't collect as much as I did when I was younger, then I had collected all kinds of things. But in my life atm, I guess I collect thoughts, like these, on paper, on the net, in journals, books, letters, poems, songs and with others. I collect idea's and dreams just for personal growth and understand. I started this when I was a young teen or as long as I can remember.

2. Are you a dog person, cat person, both or neither? Ohhh I'm surley a catwoman lover, all my life but I also have had a love for puppys. Both but if all in all i'd say Kittys.
How many pets do you have? - Just one atm :-) Little Lilly
3. How was your Thanksgiving? I was sick this year, slept most the day away at my brothers, first year they had thinaksgiving was nice not to have to entertain and like I said being sick making the entire day not very memorable.
4. What are you asking Santa for this year? My Tobias to be with me and Surgery for my Baby, Health for my loved ones and some cold hard cash for a vacation would be nice :p hehe
